We’re on the forefront of how developments work with communities in today’s changing environment.
The evolution of mixed use developments is inevitable, because it’s what people are asking for in a live, work, and play lifestyle. This is an opportunity for us to respond appropriately, but with what we do best, and that’s providing uniquely curated experiences for our hotel guests, the local community, and out of town visitors.
Sawmill 101
This is an area that has historical roots reaching back to the 1300’s when the Tiwa speaking people established permanent settlements in the Old Town Albuquerque area.
Since then it’s gone through five major development periods, through which the early 1900’s brought to the area a thriving economy driven by The American Lumber Company and the Zuni Mountain Railroad. Later, from 1926-1937, the classic highway Route 66 would further connect travel through the southwest, making Albuquerque an important junction between Chicago, Il and Santa Monica, CA. This is the history that fuels our inspiration to revitalize the area into a vibrant community that celebrates the unique culture and creativity that thrives throughout New Mexico.
